Prayer

Our experience is simply that when we do pray, God’s grace abounds and responds to our prayers or gives us strength to cope with any  situation. Philippians 4.6,7 says: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving,  present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ  Jesus”. Our meditation and prayer time takes place on the first Wednesday of every month at 12:15pm and lasts for approximately one hour. This  offers the opportunity to take time out of your busy day for quiet reflection , using visual aids, reflective music and a ‘thought for the  day’, together with the opportunity for you to light a candle and pray. At the end of the time of quiet meditation, there will be the  facility for you to recieve a personal prayer on request.    If you have a prayer request, please email the church office on administrator@loughtonmethodist.org.uk or contact us on 0208 502 3071.  Your request will be sent to our minstry team, who will contact you if required.
