10.00-12.15pm Saturday.

Unsupervised play area for pre-school children.

Part of the ethos of LMC is to be available for the community. Wesley’s Café is hugely popular. It is place for the whole community and attracts people from 0-90!

The teas and coffees are served by volunteers drawn not only from LMC but other churches and from the community whether they attend church or not.

Many people have found Wesley’s has offered a “listening ear” in times of difficulty and the office staff and other members of the church are able to pray with people. Others choose to sit quietly in church.

With its children’s play area, many parents/carers find it to be an oasis in the day.

Members of the Police Force and the local Credit Union, for instance, make themselves available in Wesley’s to offer information and help.

The café is named after the founder of Methodism – John Wesley – who made himself available to people all over the country. His aim was to tell them about the love of Christ for them. We share that aim and try to show it in what we do in Wesley’s.
