Christian Drama Resource Centre (CDRC)

The Christian Drama Resource Centre (CDRC) began thirty-five years ago when four members of LMC prayed and dreamed big dreams. This charity supports dramatic arts in scores of community groups in the local area, through the loan of theatrical costumes and the provision of educational services, storytelling and drama. It includes groups from a broad spectrum of the community, such as schools, churches, sports/leisure/drama groups and elderly people.

CDRC has enriched the lives of thousands of young people and children and, through its consistently high standards, has created a reservoir of goodwill among those it serves. Its clients know that CDRC is there for them, alongside them. They have been able to provide training for churches and Christian groups to give them the confidence to use drama and storytelling in their own churches.

CDRC has grown from being housed in one room to fill a whole house! CDRC is now housed in the Wesley Hall Foyer at LMC, with the majority of its costumes being housed in a local store.

This has given birth to the dream of an Arts Centre at LMC, where CDRC can have everything in one place and where the creative arts in all its forms can flourish for the benefit of the local community and the church family. You can read about this venture by clicking on 'Making Dreams Happen'.
