Christian Aid
We support Christian Aid www.christianaid.org.uk a national Christian charity which insists the world can and must be swiftly changed to one where everyone can live a full life, free from poverty.
Christian Aid exists to help those in need – regardless of religion, ethnicity or nationality. It works with and through partners overseas: churches, ecumenical bodies, local NGOs and movements who have common values and competence in poverty eradication. At LMC we believe that this approach gets the right help direct to those most in need.
Our main effort, with other churches in Loughton, is a house to house collection during Christian Aid Week, held every year in mid-May. We also donate money from Church funds, hold occasional fund raising events and special collections, and respond to disaster appeals through Christian Aid.
