Reach
Reach meet weekly during the Sunday 10.30 a.m. service. Our sessions are open to anyone who is 11-18 years old. Both Christians and those who are investigating Christianity attend and you are very welcome to join us.
Reach sessions are grounded in three areas:
Reach IN - we aim to build a meaningful and welcoming community. Every session includes a breakfast of cereal, pastries, cake, fruit, fruit juice, tea, coffee and hot chocolate. We make time to see how one another are and have a bit of a chit chat.
John 13: 34-35 "A new command I give to you: love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another."
Reach OUT - we enjoy welcoming newcomers to our sessions. We encourage one another to talk about what we have discussed outside of the session and to be a good witness throughout the week not just on Sundays! We engage in social action and charity mission work.
Matthew 22: 37-38 "Jesus replied: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbour as yourself."
Reach UP - we investigate the bible to find out more about a man called Jesus who claims to be the Word and to see what that means about God and how this affects us. This academic year 2011/12 we are working our way through the gospel of John and encourage you to come and join us. We create a safe space for discussions and questions.
John 6:63 "The Spirit gives life, the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you are Spirit and they are life."
John 14: 6 "Jesus answered, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
Who: 11-18 year olds (school years 7-13).
